Yesterday I asked my fren "'ve u been to the class?" he replied "It was very early in the morning at 11am. so I couldnt turn up". Yes for the ones who go to bed at 5am, 11am is very early. We wake at the noon attend a class or two work for a couple of hours to complete an assignment, watch a movie or two and go to bed again. These are the major events of a typical iitian day. It starts with the lunch, followed by a class or a movie. Dont believe if i say movie every day!! but we have more than thousand films in our LAN and almost all the rooms had a place for the idiot box. while buying people say "My course curriculum consists of more projects" but later they switch on to 'another' projects by an utilization factor of more than one. Till evening 12Oclock(sorry its midnight for others) we go for parties, chit chat in the canteens, play shuttle, billiards and then we feel "its the time for movie" and reach the idiot boxes where ever available. Then we realise the thing that we are supposed to submit an assignment next day so we 'll start working for that and sleep at 5am or 6am.
wait, wait, wait... Ramayana may be complete without the word Rama but iit is not complete without DC++. It is this LAN which is turnin the life at IIT into a bliss. you can get movies varying from 'Sound of music' to 'Basic Instinct', 'Bhukilas' to 'Jambalakidipamba', Advanced softwares like SPSS to games like 'Ages of Empire'. Its a synonym of knowledge and alterego of masti. Adding to these things we had a campus restaurant and lucky restaurant to visit often for our reasonless party celebrations. people search for reasons to celebrate a party and often with awards to Chiranjeevi or SriLankan victory over the Aussies etc.

pillars of my life

As another year passed I felt that this is the time to re-investigate the factors of my growth and so I am publishing this as a "namaskaram" to all of them. I hail from Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh. I completed my engineering in KSRM college of Engg, Kadapa. Regarding my habits I do meditate dialy and like to listen melodious songs. Now-a-days I am listening songs from Linkin Park and other Rocks as my close friend is a diehard fan of Rock. My favourite sites are eenadu.net, ndtv.com, wikipedia.org. Right from my childhood I motivated myself by observing the exceptional skills of people surrounding me. On 7/5/2K3 I joined a gifted institute called VijayKumar Institute of MegaMemory and Personality development(VIMP) in Kadapa. I always consider that as the turning point of my life. After joining the institute I found what I am capable of and started moving in that direction. I am always thankful to Mr G.J.Raju who is one of my role models for his priceless advice. There are some people in my life because of whom I reached this position. In my school days I was amazed by the excellence of Mr D. Subba Rao who gave my strong base in Mathematics. I was always indebted to Chandra sir who made me to get a seat in engg. In engg I was fortunate to meet people like Vijay Kumar sir & Subba Rao sir. As the former ignited the desire to achieve the latter gave strong technical inputs to satisfy my thirst of knowledge.I created this blog so as to share my feelings with all. For those who go through this blog plz feel free to drop your comments about my opinions.

my almamater

These words of mine are neither from joy nor from ecstasy but from bitter agony which I experienced after getting cognizance about the present situation of the IPE dept in KSRMCE. Its very unfortunate to hear about the termination of the branch in the next couple of years. It is this branch which created many titans who are pioneering in academic as well as industrial arena. Few epitomes of excellence like are Sheshank(IBM), Pramod(HAL), Ashok(Zuari), Harish(Karvy) etc are only a few to quote. It is by virtue of this branch March 15th of every year is turning in to red letter day in the annals of the college. In fact the best gate rank ever is from IPE itself (Sheshank AIR 10). Even in gate-2005 the students of the department made merry. It is this branch which experienced the managing expertise of legendary C.S.Rao. With my experience of four years in the college I coin IPE, ME, CE as the best departments of the college. I feel that the IPE dept had surpassed the latter in some aspects.
It is for this branch of Engg companies like American airlines, GE etc are offering maximum pay packages which are steady unlike SW. I am in no mood to criticize SW but efficient working of a SW firm requires industrial engineering. Public are with the opinion that only SW gets more money. Any company always offers high package to analyst who by and large will be an industrial engineer. It is this branch which is quite hot in the market and students of other branches are aspiring to do their masters (IE is always inter Disp).
If you are a student of IPE never try to degrade our branch and if you are not a student of IPE department please keep your right hand at your heart and think of the issues I mentioned. Whom so ever you are please try to do something by which the management of the college will come across this message I think its time to appeal them as well.
