Jai Guru Deva, Today is the anniversary of the great tragedy of 26/11. My deep condolences of all those who are killed. On the fatal day, I had slept early and did not know till I saw The Hindu next morning. It was one of the most shocking moment of my life. In 2008 I was already half dead with several of my personal problems but this was beyond my imagination. I knew Islamic terrorism has done for several centuries. From Nalanda library to Bamiyan statues but 26/11 was something that I am witnessing and I am connected to. Atleast four people who I know have escaped the massacre very narrowly. A.  The Tata Gesture All category of employees including those who had completed even 1 day as casuals were treated on duty during the time the hotel was closed. Relief and assistance to all those who were injured and killed The relief and assistance was extended to all those who died at the railway station, surroundings including the “Pav- Bha ji” vendor and the pan shop owners. During the time the hotel was closed, the salaries were sent by money order. A psychiatric cell was established in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences to counsel those who needed such help. The thoughts and anxieties going on people’s mind was constantly tracked and where needed psychological help provided. Employee outreach centers were opened where all help, food, water, sanitation, first aid and counseling was provided. 1600 employees were covered by this facility. Every employee was assigned to one mentor and it was that person’s responsibility to act...

Finally some sort of justice has been done for the murder machine which threw doom on 200 innocent people and sent waves of panic across billions of people in the world. 26/11 created different responses across the world. Many in India were worried because it once again reminded them the bitter fact that their safety is compromised. Many in Pakistan were worried that this might tempt the United States to adopt a stick approach in their diplomacy replacing the existing carrot approach. The FBI & Co. is afraid that the next generation terrorists might use 26/11 as a model for the future attacks.. On a whole the impact of 26/11 on the world in general and on sub continent in particular is quite significant.  Given such an important happening we have a criminal captured and we took some 17 months to finalize the punishment on that blood monger. an year passed so quickly that people could not believe how it passed!! It all started in the late hours of 26th Nov, 2008. Busy lives of mumbaikars were disturbed by audacious attacks of the enemies who invaded their lives with the only idea of shattering them. Hours turned into days and finally the NSG could clean all the mess clearing the rodents out of the way. Few days passed and the mumbaikar is back to his normal busy life running for local trains, munching vadapav in the trains and finally reaching the destinations just in time!!
